Scrap we buy

What we take, and what we accept in each stream

Eleven streams. Under each one is the material we see most often, and where it matters, the condition it needs to be in. If your load is not on this list, describe it and we will tell you either way.

Iron and steel scrapलोहा और स्टील

Mild steel and cast iron in any grade or condition. One girder or forty tonnes of press-shop cuttings — both are worth a call.

We accept

  • Heavy melting scrap — girders, joists, angles, channels, plate and rail offcuts
  • Press-shop material — sheet cuttings, punching skeletons and blanking waste
  • Turnings, borings and swarf from lathe and CNC work, loose or briquetted
  • Cast iron — engine blocks, pump housings, machine bases, gratings and covers
  • Site steel — rebar offcuts, binding wire, shuttering plate and dismantled staging

Oil on turnings is normal and we price for it. If a load is heavy with sand, concrete or wood, tell us on the phone. We would rather quote it correctly than argue about a deduction at the weighbridge.

Stainless steelस्टेनलेस स्टील

Graded in front of you before anything is loaded, so you know which grade you are being paid for and how much of it there is.

We accept

  • 304, 316 and 321 sheet, plate, pipe and vessel sections
  • 202 and 409 sheet, railing, trim and utensil-grade material
  • Stainless turnings and grinding swarf, kept apart by grade where you can manage it
  • Kitchen and dairy equipment — tanks, trolleys, sinks, worktops and exhaust hoods
  • Fabrication drops — flanges, elbows, rod ends, bar cut-offs and weld test pieces

Mixed grades are welcome and you will not be paid the lowest grade for the whole lot. We sort it, weigh each grade and give you a line-by-line breakup.

Aluminiumएल्युमीनियम

Section, sheet, casting and utensil are four different rates. We separate them because the difference is real money on a tonne.

We accept

  • Extrusion and section — window and door frames, curtain wall, ladder and scaffold sections
  • Sheet, coil, litho plate and printing-house offcuts
  • Castings — pump bodies, gearbox housings, die-cast parts and alloy wheels
  • Utensil and household aluminium, painted, anodised or bare
  • Radiators, condensers and heat exchangers, including aluminium-copper units

Frames still holding glass, rubber gasket or steel screws do not need stripping first. We deduct the actual weight of the attachment, not a round figure off the lot.

Copperतांबा

The material people most often feel short-weighed on. Come to the weighbridge with the vehicle and keep the printed slip.

We accept

  • Bright and shiny bare copper wire, clean and free of insulation
  • Heavy copper — busbar, earthing strip, tube, plate and sheet
  • Motor windings, transformer coils and armature copper, on or off the core
  • Copper radiators, boiler tubes and tanks, including brass-ended units
  • Tinned, burnt or oxidised copper, priced by condition rather than refused

Nothing is weighed out of your sight. Loads are weighed on a public weighbridge, not on our own scale — tare and gross, with the vehicle number on the slip.

Brass, bronze and gunmetalपीतल और कांसा

Honey brass, dirty brass, gunmetal and bronze bushes each carry their own rate. Sorting them is our job, not yours.

We accept

  • Honey brass — clean sheet, rod, tube and machining offcuts
  • Brass turnings and borings from CNC and screw-machine work
  • Taps, valves, gate fittings, water meters and sanitary brass with steel parts still attached
  • Gunmetal, phosphor bronze bushes, bearings, impellers and pump wear rings
  • Radiator brass, cartridge brass and mixed yellow brass

A brass body with a steel spindle or a plastic handle is fine as it is. We strip it here and deduct what the steel and plastic actually weighed.

Cable, motors and transformersकेबल, मोटर, ट्रांसफार्मर

Copper and aluminium sitting inside insulation, laminations and steel bodies. We buy the whole item — you do not need to burn or strip anything.

We accept

  • Armoured power cable, flexible cable, house wiring and telecom cable, any core size
  • Winding wire and enamelled copper wire, on or off the bobbin
  • Electric motors, submersible pumps, alternators and loose stator or rotor assemblies
  • Distribution transformers, welding sets and chokes, copper wound or aluminium wound
  • Switchgear, control panels, MCB boards, busbar chambers and cable tray

For cable, tell us the core size and a rough running length. Weight per metre is predictable, which means we can quote before we travel.

E-waste and IT assetsपुराने कंप्यूटर और ई-कचरा

Retired electronics taken away as one lot. Whole units, loose boards and part-stripped machines together — nothing needs separating before we arrive.

We accept

  • Servers, desktops, laptops, workstations and rack hardware
  • Populated circuit boards, motherboards, memory, processors and add-in cards
  • Networking and telecom equipment — switches, routers, rectifiers and cabinet gear
  • UPS systems, inverters, SMPS units, printers, scanners and display panels
  • Whole office refresh lots cleared floor by floor in one visit

Units are taken whole, so you do not need to pull cards, strip boards or split the plastic from the metal first. Anything still working is worth more than its metal, so tell us what runs and what does not. If the machines held data, take the drives out before we load — we do not wipe or destroy drives, and that is better kept in your own hands.

Batteries and leadबैटरी और सीसा

Lead-acid in any state, from a single car battery to a full telecom bank. Tell us the count and the rating and we can put a rate to it before we come out.

We accept

  • Automotive, tractor and truck lead-acid batteries, drained or wet
  • Inverter, UPS and telecom battery banks, including tubular cells
  • Industrial traction, forklift and stacker batteries
  • Lead sheet, plate, pipe, counterweights and radiation shielding
  • Lead-bearing dross and process scrap from casting and battery units

Cells travel upright and crated, not tipped into the back of a vehicle. We do not buy loose, cracked or leaking cells, and we will say so on the phone rather than after we arrive.

Industrial plasticप्लास्टिक और ड्रम

Clean factory plastic in volume — drums, bags, runners and reject mouldings, lifted before they take over the yard.

We accept

  • HDPE drums, jerricans, crates and pipe offcuts
  • PP woven sacks, jumbo bags, strapping and sheet
  • IBC totes and bulk containers, with or without the steel cage
  • Sprues, runners, purgings and reject mouldings from injection and blow moulding
  • ABS, PC, PVC, nylon and acrylic offcuts from fabrication and signage work

Chemical drums need to be triple-rinsed with the label still readable. Tell us what was in them before we come out — drums that held hazardous material stay on your site, and we would rather say that on the phone than at your gate.

Paper and packaging

Corrugated, kraft and office paper lifted on a schedule we agree, so it stops eating space in the loading bay.

We accept

  • Used cartons, corrugated boxes and box-plant trim
  • Kraft paper, duplex board, core pipes and packaging offcuts
  • Office paper, computer print-out, ledgers and confidential record waste
  • Newsprint, books, magazines and print-house overs
  • Baled or loose — for regular volumes, ask about leaving a bin or a bale wrapper on site

Keep it dry and flatten the cartons — wet or loosely packed paper is what turns a good lot into a poor rate. Ledgers and old records travel in the same lot as the packaging. We do not shred, so anything that has to be destroyed should be dealt with before the lift.

Plant, machinery and complete unitsमशीनरी और प्लांट

Whole units, not just the metal inside them. A machine that can be made to run again is worth more to you than a melt rate.

We accept

  • Machine tools — lathes, milling machines, CNC beds, presses, shears and press brakes
  • DG sets, air compressors, chillers, boilers and pumping sets
  • Conveyors, hoists, cranes, storage racking and mezzanine structures
  • Tanks, vessels, silos, ducting and process piping
  • Complete production lines, closed units and industrial sheds for dismantling

Send photos and a picture of the nameplate. Anything with working life left can be quoted twice — a resale number and a scrap number — and you choose which one to take.

Where we stop

What we will not take

Worth knowing before you book a vehicle. If any of this is mixed into a lot, tell us at the first call so it can be kept out of the load.

  • Radioactive material and anything carrying a radiation label
  • Medical, clinical and biohazard waste
  • Sealed or pressurised gas cylinders, and unpurged fuel tanks
  • Ammunition, ordnance and anything explosive
  • Household mixed waste and wet garbage

This list covers most of what crosses the gate, but it is not the whole trade. If you have something that is not on it, describe it or send a photo. We will tell you whether we buy it, and if we do not, we will usually know who does.

Next step

Not sure which stream yours falls into?

Most loads are mixed and most callers cannot name every grade. Send photos and we will identify it, price it, and tell you whether it is worth a vehicle.
